It certainly needs the braking performance to support the raw power of this beast. I did drive it back to back with my own 50th anniversary and there was no contest in terms of power, braking, or even handling. My car is a SS, not a ZL1 or 1LE, but the M3 handling was considerably more focused and capable than my own car. It oughta be for the price.
One of the more interesting features is that the instrument cluster has a setting where you can see the power and torque you’re generating real time. At one stoplight launch I went in about half throttle and the cluster tells me I reached 510 hp, 479 lb-ft getting to 70 before I backed it down. Freaky fast.
