Lots of reasons the other 2 outsell, lower trims pricing, complaints of seeing outward, etc but I still think it’s the best pony car of the 3 with a manual transmission. The good, prices are still up and you can sell the Camaro and move on to an auto you prefer more.
From a strictly styling point of view I couldn't agree more. Just get the '69 if you enjoy reminiscing nostalgically about how the older cars were faster (untrue), and "why can't they make'em like they used to?"
Of course you'll also have to live with wooden brakes and steering that's 23 turns lock to lock (yes I'm exaggerating, but it will feel like it).

But if you plan to enjoy operating it, not just staring at it, get a 6th Gen. GM just out did themselves in its engineering wise. Look back at a 1967 Camaro, particularly the back bumper. Notice something a bit odd?

It's the back-up (reverse) lights. They are dangling off the bottom of the bumper, held in place by drilling a hole and bolting it. IOW- an add on! Somebody said, "hey, wait a minute, we gotta put some more lights in the back!". Now look at the '68 and those lights are nicely incorporated into the bumber body.

My point is the very first 1st Gen. was a thrown together "parts bin" car that lucked out and the 6th Gen. is a "from the ground up" thought through design that exceeds the sum of its parts and gives us "poor guys" a chance to enjoy some very serious driving. BTW- that 1st Gen gonna cost you alot more $$.
