If you are only going to spin the engine to 6500rpm I would simply pulley down your D1x so it makes boost quicker. Then you simply limit peak boost by reducing RPM.... Or rev it out higher. A stage 3 cam D1x setup should spin to 7200 rpm imo. A friend of mine put one on his car it wouldn't make shit for boost until 5k rpm. So he pullied it down and lowered shift point. But he only did that because it was on the stock bottom end.

Even the P1x doesn't really start making boost until like 4200 rpm. We gained 2-3psi from raising shift points from 6100 rpm to 6700rpm. Went from 7 psi to 9-10psi.
I would like the motor to spin more but the shop that installed the cam and piston/ rods kept it to stock rpm. I'll have to call procharger to see what pulley setup they recommend.
