If you decide on getting the warranty, you may try one of the guys they recommend in the thread. It's a little old but they may still be available.

I went with Todd Sutherland and he gave me a great price a bit lower than Dennis and honestly Dennis treated me like crap so went with Todd.

You may have a problem though with getting an extended GM warranty I was told by Dennis that you had to buy it 30days before your factory warranty expired. Not sure if he was yanking my chain to get me to buy but that is what he told me.
