GM extended warranty

My 3 year bumper to bumper warranty is up next week.

I can extend it 3 more years and 30k miles for around $2,800. The only problem I’ve had so far is with one of the daylight running lights, which was replaced, but wasn’t the problem. So the car goes back in Monday before the car is out of warranty.

I’m not knowledgeable about the overall reliability of these cars regarding non-power train issues after 3 years, so I’m unsure which way to go. Bear in mind that I have only 18k miles on the car, so I do about 6K miles a year. I guess it would be a different decision if I had 40k miles on the car.

I don’t care about small stuff, but if this DRL was to crap out, it’s $600 just for the part. That kind of repair could be 1/3 the cost of the extended warranty.

Thoughts?

Thanks.
