yes some will go in that slopped downward part and the rest go under the car.
Any drill bit will work fine. I just used my harbor freight kit and just barely pulled the trigger on the gun and it drills right in. Just dont go full speed or it will pull it in to fast.
I just got the ACS 1LE and if you buy them make sure you look them over. Mine where all scuffed up and scratched up. you cannot properly polish them or you will ruin the 1LE paint as per what ACS told me but they dont seem to care that they are all scratched up or scuffed all over for an $800 part.
