I don't think you'll miss the 1LE specific features, as you've said you'll either be doing back roads or drag strip. The one place where you would have seen a positive difference would be road course tracks, but that's irrelevent in this case.
Best approach for your interests would probably be to keep your 2SS and consider going with wider tires for better rear traction at the strip.
