I'm not in the market to buy another Camaro, but if I was the deal breaker would be the fact that the LT1 is almost 30 mph slower than the SS.
Also I moved to Camaro expressly for the improved handling over the 5th gen and the LT1 is more of a straight line machine (though with the Alpha chassis I'm sure it handles pretty well despite the tires).
