My wife's Traverse does a more logical thing, upon remote start it blows max heat (and turns on heated seats) in the cold and max A/C when it's hot outside, regardless of previous A/C settings. Then, once the car is turned on from the inside, both the climate system and seat heaters deactivate. Also, unrelated, but its seat memory recall buttons are more logical as well, one just needs to press them once and the seat moves into position, while on the Camaro I have to hold the button until the seat stops moving, and there's no chime either.
Maybe these design teams should talk more to each other

Maybe it needs to be turned on in the vehicle menu.
My driver's seat moves forward into position and the mirrors adjust when I start my 2017 Camaro 2LT RS. When I turn off the car, the driver's seat moves all the back automatically for easy exit.
This is dependent on the settings of either remote #1 or remote #2
