A couple clarifications. When I said the PS4S or EC Sport are fine below 40F, I meant they are safe from damage. I've driven them plenty into the 20s and never had any damage. They obviously don't grip as well as when it's warmer out, but some of the warnings about that are a little over the top, too. You obviously have to use restraint: you're still in control of the inputs. All-seasons start out with less grip even in warm temps, so they drop off less, but I bet the difference in grip at 35F isn't that big between the two. And of course, as soon as you start driving, the tires will gain temperature.

The "summer" tires will be awful in snow or ice, but Atlanta won't see those conditions very often.
