And I disagree about PS4S tires being good in sub 40-degree weather. Had them (OEM performance pack 1 tires) on my 2018 Mustang GT and they were downright dicey at those temps. until they came up to temp. They would spin at 65 mph at under half throttle on a dry hwy on a stock 5.0 when the tires were under 40 F (e.g., sitting at the office all day in 35-40 F weather). On those cold mornings it was almost impossible not to spin the rears while turning out of my subdivision onto the main road, and my Mustang was garage kept.

Successful sub-40 driving on PS4S means 10-15% throttle, at least with my current setup A little spinning here and there in the first few minutes of the drive is to be expected. I guess when people say "it's okay", they (and I) imply a high level of self-imposed restraint.
