Why not go with a good DSP, an amp and a sub in ported a box? Velcro helps a lot so do ratchet straps. If you are only needing bass then you can get everything you want for under $1000 plus install. I listen to mostly metal, some rock and some blues. Bass is needed in all music IMO. It brings the fullness of sounds a music listen wants. I wouldn't go the powered route those setups are all overpriced.
