But then again with your scorched wiring issues, you're going to be better off troubleshooting the harness before firing the parts cannon. That lockout solenoid circuit has 12V battery power all the time according to my manual, plus a sensing circuit, so at least 3 wires to look after.

On the other hand, I guess it's easy enough to do a part swap and see if the problem goes with it.
