Yes!! I had no idea how MUCH individual tire types and specific models have become polarized in both usage and temperature tolerance. The Nitto 555R2 rubber cracking by merely being handled, not even driven, at temperatures below -9C = 16F was a real wakeup call. I'll be studying tire manufacturer webpages much more closely now when shopping for tires.
