Thanks for your input man I was thinking roughly the same 1k-1500 and 7-8 hours labor.

Would you let an independent shop do it or just dealer?

I can’t imagine repairing every wire in that damaged harness. There are so many of them and I’m sure some are damaged where I can’t see in that loom. Some are melted together some are completely frayed and separated already and it’s probably a good 10-15 words I can see that need repair. Don’t want to spend time repairing when like you said a year later it starts acting up.
