I used knurled BC Forged wheels with 3R tires and all 4 tires rotate on the wheel. I use a minimal amount of the GM recommended Hunter brand tire lube and found it makes little difference.
The best solution I've found is just to minimize the use of weights. If you aline the white dots on the tire opposite the valve stem, the weight required to balance a 3R should be minimal. My car is dedicated for track use, so unless it needs more than 2 ozs, I don't even bother with weights. I've never noticed any vibration with this approach.
