Fair point until you threw in that 100%. Yes, the customer should have done some basic research about the car he was about to buy. However, one can't be expected to know everything about everything, that's what businesses and their representatives are for.
If they can't be trusted for even such trivial information, with ZERO sales pressure, because a ZL1 1LE is an instant seller no matter what, we are in huge trouble (and yes, I know we are).
Again, one can't realistically be expected to be an all-knowing expert—what's next after cars? Law, electrical work, construction, appliances, plumbing etc.? This is like going back to the 18th or 19th century.
