Roush Mustangs consistently pull 1.05+ g's. Jack Roush Jr was successful racing them (actually had restrictors placed on them) in the old Continental Tires series. I'm not a "tracker" so no personal experience.
Personally, I like both Camaro and Mustang and have owned both over the years.
