Not sure that's true, I've had a few 95MM TB and basically your just re-scaling the MAF, I've never had any issues with that. I'm running one on my 2300 Maggie and thpsi Port Injection that I ran NA on this car. Ran one on my 2016 C7 with Ported MSD. No issues.
