Been tracking since about 2014, previously ran a 2013 5.0, 2012 Mazdaspeed3 and the 2021 Miata club. All were good in their own right, but really excited to get this thing broken in and on track. 700 miles after the first week, so should be ready for my first track day mid October.
Congrats! The car is a track star right out of the box. The owner manual is a dog's breakfast, so check out my sticky on PTM modes. Just read the very first post, which I have kept updated with folks contrubutions, etc. I track mine bone stock, except for brake fluid. Highly recommend SRF as the cooling is not great and pistons are not vented. Stock pads stand up well and last about the same as the tires 6-7 days, venue depending. The tires are on par with RE71 or Cup2. Careful running high torque pads, lest you will smoke the pistons and end up with Brownbos. Also, she has no lift upshifts feature: keep the gas pedal down 100%, engage the clutch and upshift. Simple as that and it keeps RPMs up. If more pace beacons, get 18s, do a camber mod and run slicks. But frankly, the car is so fun and so fast stock I haven't felt a need yet. Superbly balanced and excellent feedback. Lastly, change the oil and rear diff fluids. The latter is a must as the Ediff works hard and even after a break in period, the fluid comes out looking like sludge.
The track section in the Forum has tons of super info. And most importantly: have bags of fun!!!
