Throwout bearing problems will likely manifest any time you shift.
What you are describing (can't get into 2nd gear) sounds like a linkage or shifter problem.

I would ask dealer about warranty coverage. The bearing is a "lubricated" drivetrain part and may be covered. OTOH, the clutch is considered "wear and tear."
I think the linkage is covered under basic warranty, not powertrain. But I would ask.
