My ziptie fix that I did back in 2018 is still holding up, the gaps have nearly been eliminated on both sides.
That said, the official fix for 2016-2018 cars is TSB 17-NA-336, see at
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...34617-9999.pdf (the only problem with this is that the bumper must come off, which is tricky as it's very easy to break off a flimsily attached plastic retainer plate in the center, under the trunk latch, ask me how I know).
