If you opt to buy an extended warranty, read the fine print closely. I believe the convertible top, or at least portions of it, are explicitly excluded and that is a costly repair.
There is at least one thread on here listing a couple of dealers that you can buy the GM warranty from at a much lower price than your selling dealer will try and push you into.
