24288054 says short throw with supercharger
24288056 says standard throw without supercharger
So I would interpret that as 24288054 is the short throw shifter which comes on ZL1 & ZL1 1LE. And 24288056 is the standard throw shifter which comes on SS.
One ends in 54, the other in 56 which made me think...what about 55? Quick Google led me to
24288055 which looks like is the shifter for the v6 & i4 models.
Then I figured well maybe that's not comprehensive and there are similar part numbers earlier or later in the series. Looking up 242088053 yielded zero results. However,
242088057 appears to be the SS 1LE shifter.
Not sure if that's 100% correct or helpful, but using the context it's the best I can deduce. If it is accurate, there are four different shifter part numbers:
(1) ZL1/ZLE
(2) SS 1LE
(3) SS
(4) V6/I4
I have no idea the differences besides the ZL1/ZLE & SS 1LE being described as short throw and SS & V6/I4 being described as standard throw.
