I showed the guy advertised %2.89 on chevys web site, he clicked on the offer and picked very similar car in my region and rate changed to similar %5.8

That's terrible. I always make sure to come in with Plan B, and not solely rely on whatever advertised rate the manufacturer has. At the very least, so you do not lose all leverage.
