First off the calipers from the factory are PAINTED not powdercoated. The CALIPER WILL NEVER get hot enough to melt the powder coat I am running vented brake pistons like the Z06 do with their J57 option. I also am running titanium brake pad sims from Girodisc. I also am running GIRODISC front rotors which have superior cooling and are 5 pounds lighter. So with all this, it is NOT getting nearly as hot as the stock set up was.

The powdercoated rotors after some HARD track days DID NOT discolor like like the stock painted ZL caliper did so the heat is NOT affecting the powdercoating at all.

THATS how I know .
