I went with PPF with the added benefit that the full front, mirrors, and windshield surround are covered as well as the sides of the car. No issues 9100 miles and still looks great after 5 years.

Doing nothing is not an option. You will regret not protecting the paint on the car. If you're not going to do PPF on the rockers & spats, then get the rock guards.
