So, I've had an odd experience.

6/6/22: Placed my order at the dealership for a 2023 1LT, V6, M6, Riverside Blue, tech package, RS package. I ask my sales rep to keep me up to date on how the order progresses.

Me: Can I have the order number?
Rep: I will give it to you as soon as I have it.

2 weeks pass.

6/20
Me: What's the latest? Can I have my order number?
Rep: No change, I will give you an order number as soon as I have it.

4+ weeks pass: Crickets

7/22:
I email my sales rep to ask what the order number and status code is, and then get a call from the Ordering Manager.

Ordering manager: Your sales rep is out of the office, but I have an update on your order......it's at a status of 3400 and the TPW is 7/25.

Me: Wut? It's that far along?!

Ordering manager: Yes, next it should move to 3800, 4200, can't promise when it will be delivered though...

Me: Wow, okay, awesome! Can I have my order number?

Ordering manager: Here it is.....

Me: Thanks! Please let me know when it reaches the next stage.

4 days later on 7/26:
My sales rep calls.

Rep: Good news! Your car was built yesterday on 7/25...here's your VIN.

Me: Wuuuut, really?

Rep: Yep! Your order is moving along quite nicely....
