this happened to me and i tried to explain to the instructor i was getting on throttle when he said to, but the car wasn't allowing it. we worked our way up the PTM list and finally i turned it off to prove my point... we were sideways and he was telling me "nice save" the first time we tried it lol
apparently you can't stab these while you're still turning like ya can a miata
