Crazy...
I work for GM and ya got me thinking because I have a leftover pads & rotors from tracking my 2018 that I expect to fit on my 2022. So I checked the parts release for both (Michigan) vehicles. Both released with same rotors 84271643/23369743, same calipers 84229171/2 & 84022227/8, same knuckle, but different pads: 23399101 FNT / 89047744 RR (2016-2020) versus new 85115096 FNT / 85113996 RR (2021+) after 01Jan2021. BUT notes the calipers/pads/rotors for 2022 are not part of the RPO = J6H&BCD.
Could be wrong... BCD does not appear to be a customer choice, but an automatic if the vehicle is build for sale in California/Washington.
So I pulled a random ZLE VIN at a dealership in Cali. Same knuckle, new rotors 85137534/84519605, new pads 85158659/86780718, new calipers 85125508/9 & 85113991/2. WOW for 2 states!! Didn't dig too far, but appears only Rear Pads common to CT4, nothing to CT5 (though it gets silly with colors and decals).
This bulletin identifies the J6H&BCD RPO is ONLY for CA/WA vehicles.
