Exactly, DRs don't help a stock ZL1 to the expected level because the stock computer limits things quite noticeably. We've been seeing this for years, where stock trans tune ZL1s don't run better than 1.6 short times on DRs, despite all this engine torque and horsepower.

Very enlightening to watch jorgelovesspeed video, where he shows stock trans tune vs aftermarket trans tune. ZL1 has a full dragpack, passenger seat pulled out, big gulp and flex fuel ECM tune with E55. With a stock trans tune it goes 1.63 short times at best, then with an aftermarket trans tune it goes a 1.50 short time, same engine hp and weight, he just fixed the computer. Quarter mile ends up almost 3 tenths quicker with just the trans tune being done, same day on the same track.
