I only have around 900 miles on my 2022 but so far I've not been impressed with the initial bite of the copper free pads.
My old 2003 Monte Carlo SS SLP has a 1 of Wilwood setup with 14 inch 6 piston rotors up front and 13 inch 4 piston out back running BP10 compound pads and I suppose I've gotten used to that initial bite and pedal feel.
Both cars weigh about the same and I know it's comparing apples and oranges but thus far I've been wanting that bite back. Not sure what the specs are on the ZL1 with Copper free pads but my Monte Carlo could stop from 60-0 in 125 feet and this was with Wilwood polymatrix pad (less aggressive street pad).
I read the manual and it states not to track or do aggressive braking before 1500 miles on the pads and rotors...???
