100% correct. And as I stated in my post, the painted mosaic black version matches all the other exterior black painted effects. It looks correct to my eye now after owning both. I had a white 18 with the exposed CF and it was nice. While I agree with the flow sentiment, the black shows, like any other black, imperfections and swirls marks way more than ecf.
That said, unless you're up close, to me, it doesn't raise a complete stink. All the more reason to add exterior cf bits..
