I think as long as there is demand for them some manufacturers will keep offering them. They said the Supra would not get a manual but then Nissan said they were offering one with the new Z so now for 2023 you can get a manual in the Supra.
The new C8 desperately needs a manual. If you peruse the C8 forums you will see many owners complain the car is not that exciting to drive. It handles great, very quick, but too refined, too quiet and less visceral than previous Corvettes. A manual trans for driver engagement would help a lot. Maybe the Z06 with that flat plane crank will help...

Money, it costs tons of money to develop a new manual transmission and if the take rate isn't high enough, it isn't financially viable. While we are all automotive enthusiasts, most people simply don't care, and car companies are a business, and the business is making money. The new Z has a manual transmission (and chassis) that is largely from the last generation just tweaked. The Supra's new manual is straight from an existing BMW, so little R&D cost. I'd be surprised if any major automotive manufacturer (aside from maybe Porsche) ever develops a new manual gearbox.
