Which begs the question, why are we getting rid of the manuals?

I think as long as there is demand for them some manufacturers will keep offering them. They said the Supra would not get a manual but then Nissan said they were offering one with the new Z so now for 2023 you can get a manual in the Supra.

The new C8 desperately needs a manual. If you peruse the C8 forums you will see many owners complain the car is not that exciting to drive. It handles great, very quick, but too refined, too quiet and less visceral than previous Corvettes. A manual trans for driver engagement would help a lot. Maybe the Z06 with that flat plane crank will help...
