Ok. Quite a few folks may suggest and prefer the Nitto 555R2 over the MT’s probably due to it being a more well rounded tire such as handling the wet better, cornering decently, grips well for what it is and lasting longer overall. The Nitto 555R2 is a great tire for a daily for someone looking for better grip than a street tire and also serving those other purposes I mentioned pretty decently.
I can understand and agree with those that prefer the Nitto for those reasons over the MT, however since trying both tires and in my personal experience, the MT SS tire prevails over the Nittos for pure traction. I believe many would agree with my assessment both online and in person that they would chose an MT tire over the Nitto if they are looking for the better hooking tire.
