The same is true for the SS. I have driven rental Camaro SSes at double or more than the low posted speed limits through curves on the stock runflat tires on empty canyon roads with cliffs on the side and it was quite exciting and actually what prompted me to consider buying my own SS 1LE. The SS 1LE tires are overkill if you are not doing track days but they are usable on the street in California's generally warm and rarely rainy climate.

Even with mag ride in tour mode the SS 1LE is so stiff that it can be uncomfortable over rough or uneven roads like some in downtown Houston and it can scrape the bottom of the front splitter on steep business entrances and exits due to the low ride height but it is quite comfortable on smooth roads and highways and I have driven mine through 20 different States.
