Well we all draw those lines differently between what is acceptable for a daily driver vs. a car that is a purely a dedicated track car. Even GM at times cant make that distinction.
For instance having owned a ZL1 1LE A10 for a short period of time, I quickly determined that for me GM crossed the line with that car into the dedicated track car area. The ride quality was absolutely brutal and they perhaps put the most deadly set of tires in the WET that has EVER been put on a production car (GY3R).
THAT car no doubt was PRIMARILY designed to go around the racetrack with little regard for ride quality or safety should ANY amount of water be encountered on the road.
Specifically MY car was built to be a much more pleasant car on the road as well as being able to perform at a level that would be quicker than MOST dedicated track cars assuming those cars are near their original curb weights.
