Over in the VS section myself and several other members have been posting about the differences between the major competing cars (Hellcat, ZL1, C8, C7 Z06, GT350, GT350R, GT500) for several years now. The fact of the matter is that the GT500 and the ZL1 are in fact very close competitors. But again, it helps to look at all the competitors in this price range and see what they have to offer. In it's favor, the Shelby is more functional than the ZL1, handles better than the Hellcat Redeye, and comes at a MSRP in between the two. When you factor that they are all similarly equipped, it is easy to see how the GT500 would come at a MSRP between the HC RE and the ZL1. While it won't handle better than the ZL1, it will outrun one. While it won't outrun a HC RE, it will corner much better. So pretty much it's a rock paper scissors thing. The Shelby is a blast to drive and it is a lot of fun. It is a very powerful car. And stock to stock, it will pull on a ZL1. The top end on this car is just out of this world. Those are it's strengths. But again, you can't go wrong with any of the top tier Pony cars. They all are phenomenal.

Value-wise, yes the ZL1 is hard to beat. Matter of fact, it is unbeatable in that regard. I love mine and I can't even think about parting with it. Especially after modding it. It is a very enjoyable car. It is definitely my favorite car.

Pull in what anything after the quarter mile? Their times are damn near identical, what are you doing racing to 200 mph when it has a chance to catch up? I know those statements may hurt your feelings, and you'll call me a troll but those are the facts......
