But the GT500 is also a very awesome and powerful and fun to drive car. You can't go wrong either way if you ask me.

what am I missing here? You forgot to mention the ZL1 is considerably lighter as well, I threw 8k at my Z and now am running if not beating GT500s, and I’m still considerably UNDER the MSRP of that Furd, and even more under the outrageous dealer markups most with blue oval glasses are dumb enough to spend on it. Have you looked at quarter mile times between the 500 and the ZL1?
