I once pulled into a retail client's parking lot, near the back and sat for a bit as I drafted up some paperwork. A few minutes later a big SUV pulled up next to me, so I pulled out and parked further out. As I sat in the new parking space further away, I saw "large marge" crack open the passenger side SUV door and swing it wide. If I were still parked next to them, I'm convinced that she would've made contact with my door, as I saw that there was no way that she could crawl out of the vehicle with the door opened to its narrowest opening.

I get nervous when people park next to my car, I'm always looking at the sides to see if I find dings.
Its not that I have a problem not hitting their cars, its that everyone else doesn't give a crap about not hitting my car.
