Motortrend got 1.07g on the ZL1 they tested, so it varies slightly depending on conditions. They also did the MT figure 8 in 23.1 seconds. Better than a GT350R and quite a bit better than the 20+ GT500 (both base and carbon fiber track pack GT500s). The base GT500 did 24.1 sec on the PS4S, and the GT500 CFTP got 23.5 sec on the Cup 2s. That one seemed down on grip as MT only achieved 1.05 g with the CFTP, and I know C&D achieved more skidpad grip.
Anyway, yeah, it's dangerous to approach those limits on public roads, you never know if there's some loose gravel or a damp/wet spot in the road that will send you flying off.
