It's not a 1le it's not a ZL1 and I will not be taking it to the track. I am someone who likes to drive hard and fast though.
I have been reading these forums for the past 10 months while waiting for my Camaro to be built and delivered. Everything I've read indicates doing the oil change at the first 500 miles. I took it to a Chevy dealership this morning to get it done since I have the freebie. They refused to do the change stating there is nowhere in the manual that says it has to be done and that GM would not reemburse them. So,... Im interested in what you all think. Change or not?

I have a 2020 2SS, I changed my oil (& filter) & differential fluid at 500 miles as well as at 1,500 miles, then I changed the oil (& filter) again at 4,000 miles and the oil (& filter) & differential at 6,000 miles...
I will change the oil (& filter) every 3,000 miles or approximately 11 months (or when the Oil Life Monitor gets to 10%), whichever comes first... I plan to change my Differential fluid every other oil change...
I do all my maintenance myself.
I use Mobil1 0W-40 ESP Formula (Dexos2), ACDelco PF64 filter and ACDelco 10-4034 (88862624) DEXRON LS Gear Oil SAE 75W-90 GL-5 Differential fluid...
Fluids are cheap, engines are not... When in doubt, change it out...
