I cannot comment on the non-1LE ZL1, as I never rode in one ever, but let's just say "boring" never comes to mind when riding my ZLE
As already mentioned above, yes it's well planted, but it communicates pretty much everything from the road, which I assume is what makes it fun to drive for me! Yet at the same time, I can totally see why that wouldn't be some others' cup of tea.
