No doubt performance EVs like those from Tesla are quick but as an owner of one they are so locked down from a software perspective they are quite numb and really buttoned down. On a Tesla there is no option to turn off the nannies, which is probably good for most of the drivers but a bummer for the driving enthusiast. There is a Track Mode on the Performance trim but you still can't disable traction control on it.
From an excessive speeding perspective, sure, you build up speed pretty quick with EVs but you can do the same in a Toyota Corolla if you have enough runway.

Most EVs are quick down at the lower 0-60mph speeds and don't pull nearly as hard above those speeds, with the exception of the Plaid.
