First of all great choice!

If your dealership does in fact have an allocation the order should be accepted quickly and the status should change in the matter of a week or two, assuming there are no constraints on your order, including options. I would ask the dealership when they expect the order to be accepted by Chevy. Once accepted you should then get a build week.

If the dealership doesn't have an allocation you might want to look for an in stock or in transit vehicle that meets your specs and see if it is available. That's what I did after my order was still at 1100 after 12 weeks. Found the exact car I was looking for at a dealership in SC.
