Listen, stuff for these new cars costs money, there's no getting around that. As far as 'worth it', that's a personal decision. However, some bolt-on mods apparently do help, even without a tune. One guy did the rotofab dry, katech-ported 87 t/b, borla resonated mid pipes, and kooks axle-back; he gained 53.6rwhp (9.3% gain) on a ZL1 with the STOCK TUNE. His thread is here
