I don't know if it's that they don't care. I think it may have to do with inventory and public perception. Imagine if a Wild Cherry Tintcoat is on the dealer's lot and Chevy releases that there is a different color replacing WC. Does a consumer want a color that's being discontinued? I figure that they would rather see the new color and would be more drawn to buy the new color. That's why I can see GM waiting to release the new color for the Camaro. The Corvette is in a different situation with most people just happy to be in a Corvette regardless of color, given the long wait lines.
