Possibly the more rare versions:
- CFI Z28
- 4cyl manual trans Camaro
And then possibly the firsts:
- 84 IROC (first year of the IROC...I think).
- 85 IROC with 5.0 TPI (first year with TPI).
- 87 IROC with 5.7 TPI (first year with 5.7 and TPI).
At least those are what I would look for as something to collect.

1985 IROC-Z is the first year IROC-Z. I don't think any of them are going to be collectible because they made too many of them. Honestly, the 1991-1992 Z28 with 5.7 TPI are much more rare than the IROC's and look better too. As difficult as it is to find any of them with low mileage and in good shape today, they haven't really gone up in value a lot. I owned a 1987 IROC 5.0 TPI, and a 1991 Z28 5.7 TPI. I wish I had never sold the 1991 Z28, but I didn't have the financial means to keep it at the time and buy another car. I ended up with a 1994 Z28 soon after, then a 1999 Camaro SS, before I stopped driving Camaro's until my 2021 ZL1. My very first car was a 1982 Z28 with 4BL carb, 145hp, 3 speed auto, and my second car was a 1983 Z28 with crossfire injection (only year for CFI) 165hp. Its not worth owning any of those.
