It may be fast, but it's impossible to cut a light on launch control. I was leaving at 1/2 tree to offset the 1 second launch control lag. I think that to hit the tree, I would have to manually launch (like with my ZL1) and crank in the Ford nannies to keep it straight and off the wall. That will cost about a half second in time but I should be able to get a consistent tree. Not enough time to get in enough runs, so I'll try that next time. Everything is a compromise.
Overall, my ZL1 A10 was the better car. The GT500 is a whole lot of fun and super capable. It's not a friendly daily driver in town and it continues to scare me on a regular basis. No regrets at all - I learn something new every time I drive it and it's fun no matter where I drive.

Yeah the factory DCT setup makes it difficult to get a proper launch.
1.6-1.7 60ft on prepped track is the lowest I've seen.
I know this is a Camaro forum, but curious why you feel the ZL1 a10 is the better car specifically?
Other than maybe similar interior quality, being easier to drive around town (with the higher low-end torque and torque converter auto), and similar handling capability; I've found the GT500 to be clearly superior from every other aspect (especially WOT acceleration, braking, sound, DCT/trans characteristics, fun factor) with my experience between the two.
Its all subjective of course and to be clear, I'm actually more of a camaro/GM fan than a mustang fan. I will also say it takes several month to really get this car and all of it's the nuances. A little over a year of ownership and love it more than ever.
